Bee Rotica painting

I was lucky enough to be able to participate in the Hive's Bee Rotica show. The theme was anythign to do with Bees and sex.
This painting is the first time I tried mega glazes versus standard blending. I really like how the skin tones turned out, and it really is fueling me for future pieces. I'm not a fan how the back arm and face trned out, mainly for the fact that I lost the reference photo that I was working from so I pretty much made it up out of the ole head..... but sometimes it doesn't work that great. haha.
But whatever. Tis a learning experience. :)

Here is a Lino Cut i made a few semesters back in my printmaking class. It's hand colored with watercolor as well. I made an edition of 30 of these, and I still have the original Lino block if anyone were interested.

Well, just got a blogspot.
